Copyright

Groups publish their own pages, posts and photos on Grouperly. If your work is there without your permission, tell our copyright agent and we'll take it down.

This is the process in our Terms of Service, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Send a notice

Send it to our copyright agent, below. Include:

  • your signature, physical or electronic;
  • the work you believe is infringed;
  • where the material is on Grouperly, such as the page's web address;
  • your name, address, phone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by you, your agent, or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

A report isn't a notice. "Report this page" on a group's page reaches the group's leaders and our support team, but we can only act on copyright when the notice above reaches our agent.

Our copyright agent

Jamnaytac LLC, doing business as OrgStrong, Attn: Copyright Agent, 24A Trolley Square #1752, Wilmington, DE 19806.
Phone: 929-262-1869.
Email: copyright@grouperly.com.

What we do

We take the material down, tell the group, and send them a copy of your notice. The notice also counts as a strike against the group: until we clear it, we review everything that group publishes before it goes up.

Counter-notices

If your group's material was removed by mistake, you can send our agent a counter-notice. Include your signature; what was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and phone number, with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We'll restore it 10 to 14 business days later unless they tell us they've filed a lawsuit.

Repeat infringers

We close the websites, and in appropriate cases the accounts, of people and groups who repeatedly infringe.
