Less than you'd think, and you can do it by yourself in an evening. Import your roster from a spreadsheet (CSV), families and all, and post your next event. Then send one announcement: everyone on your roster gets it by email, with their own link to join.

Many groups keep their group chat running alongside Grouperly while families settle in. Your documents can come in as a folder or a ZIP file.

Not to hear from you. Everyone on your roster gets your announcements by email from the first day, even before they join. When they want to RSVP, pay or see the calendar, they join with the link in that email and sign in with Google, Apple, or an email and password.

Grouperly works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, so there's nothing to install.

No. Grouperly is for the people who run groups. You don't need approval from a national organization, a school district or anyone else to create a group and invite your members. It works alongside your organization's own systems, not instead of them.

They get everything. Make them an owner or admin, and they see the roster, the money, the documents and every recurring event with its past years: dates, turnout, what was paid, and the checklists. Roles carry their own permissions and checklists, so whoever takes over the treasurer's job, say, knows what to do. Plan next year copies an event forward with its ticket types, people and checklists.

You can leave any time, and take your things with you. Download your roster as a spreadsheet, your document library as a ZIP file, your photo albums, and your money records. Each member can download their own data or delete their account too.

Yes. The Free plan is free forever, for any group: unlimited members, events, RSVPs and messages, your roster, documents and photos. There's no member limit and no ads.

We make money two ways: Grouperly Plus, and a 1% fee on online payments for groups on the Free plan, on top of Stripe's card fee. See pricing for the details.

Grouperly Plus is $10 a month or $100 a year, for the whole group. It adds:

• No Grouperly fee on online payments, just Stripe's card fee
• 50 GB of storage, with video and full-size originals (Free has 5 GB)
• Child accounts for kids under 13, with a parent's consent
• 40 of your own fields on members, instead of 3
• Coming soon: 300 text segments a month

When families pay your group online, your group pays Stripe's card processing fee at cost, currently 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards. On the Free plan, Grouperly adds 1%; on Plus, nothing.

On a $50 campout payment, that's $2.25 on Free and $1.75 on Plus. The fees show before anyone pays, and a payer can choose to add a contribution toward them. Refunded payments don't get their fees back. How fees work in our help center has the details.

Yes. Record cash, checks, Venmo or Zelle against each family, so one list shows who's paid however they paid. Cash and checks are tracked until they're deposited, so nothing gets lost between the event and the bank.

Yes: the Free plan is how you try Grouperly. Use it for as long as you like, with no credit card. A paid plan is billed from the day you choose it, and you can cancel any time: your group keeps it until the end of what you've paid for, then moves to Free with nothing deleted.

• Parents stay in control: kids under 13 can't sign up on their own. Parents and leaders manage their information, and on Grouperly Plus a child can have their own login once a parent consents.
• Parents are always included: every message from an adult to a minor copies the minor's parent, or it isn't sent.
• Private by default: your group is private, and adults' contact details are shown to other members only if your group allows it.
• Reporting and blocking: members can report a message or block someone, and leaders review reports and take content down.
• No ads, ever: we don't show ads to anyone, or collect information for advertising.

We collect only what it takes to run Grouperly: names, contact details, group membership, and what you share in your groups. We never sell it, never use it for ads, and don't let AI models train on it.

Your group's messages, photos and calendar are private to your group. You can download your data or delete your account at any time. Read our Privacy Policy for the details.

Online payments go through Stripe, and card details go straight from the payer to Stripe: we never see or store card numbers. Everything else in Grouperly is encrypted in transit and at rest, and sign-in supports passkeys and two-step verification.

Yes. Leaders decide who can do what by giving roles permissions, such as sending announcements, running events, handling money, managing photos, or seeing everyone's contact details. Other members see names and roles, and adults' contact details only if your group allows it.

Any group with members and events: scouting packs and troops, youth sports teams, classes and PTAs, faith groups, bands, choirs and theater groups, booster clubs and more. Grouperly is offered in the United States.

Yes, as many as you like. You see all your groups, and all their events, in one place. Families with kids in several groups see everything on one calendar.

Grouperly works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, so there's nothing for you or your families to install. There isn't an app in the app stores.

Yes. Subscribe from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any app that takes a calendar feed, for one group or all of them, and it stays up to date. You can also bring an outside calendar, like a swim club's, onto your Grouperly dashboard.

Not yet: everything goes by email today, and each person chooses how often they hear from each group, including daily or weekly digests. Texts are coming soon on Grouperly Plus.

Yes. Add your own fields on members (3 on Free, 40 on Plus), name your subgroups for how your group works (dens, patrols, teams, sections, committees), and create roles with their own permissions and checklists. Scouting packs and troops can set up from a template with their dens, roles and the year's big events.
